Introduction to making R packages

This workshop is an introduction to creating R packages. It requires a working knowledge of R syntax. A prior Data Carpentry or Software Carpentry workshop in R would be sufficient. .

We will cover:

• making functions
• structure of a package
• documentation
• building and installing
• automated testing
• continuous integration

Required software:

Please download and install the latest versions (if possible) of R and RStudio

Introduction to Docker

This session aims to introduce the use of Docker containers with the goal of using them to effect reproducible computational environments. Such environments are useful for ensuring reproducible research outputs, for example.
